App: Findflasche Version: 6 September 2026
The "Findflasche" app (hereinafter "service" or "app") is a digital service that enables private users to locate, offer or search for refundable bottles and empty containers on a map in order to arrange a handover. Operator of the app and contracting party (media owner): Mehrdad Peykari 1120 Vienna Austria Email: support@findflasche.com (Hereinafter referred to as the "operator").
These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the "Findflasche" app and all related services.
By registering or using the app, the user expressly agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
Conflicting terms and conditions of the user shall not apply.
The service is primarily aimed at consumers (private individuals). Use is currently free of charge. The operator reserves the right to introduce paid additional features in the future (users will be informed separately about this).
The operator only provides the technical platform (app). The operator is neither a supplier nor a purchaser of refundable bottles. Agreements or contracts regarding the handover of empty containers are concluded exclusively between users.
The operator does not assume any warranty for the accuracy of the data shown on the map (e.g. whether a bottle is actually at the specified location) or for the behaviour of users.
There is no claim to constant availability of the app (e.g. in case of maintenance work or server outages).
To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, new offers may be subject to review and must be approved before publication. This helps prevent spam, junk, and suspicious listings.
Users have the option to add up to 3 pictures to their offers. When you choose to take a photo, the app opens an in-app camera. Your device may ask for camera permission at that time.
To help users understand which types of bottles and containers are deposit-eligible, the in-app Refund Guide may display official deposit and recycling symbols used in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. These symbols are the property of their respective rights holders and are shown for identification and information purposes only. Findflasche is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the operators of those deposit systems. All other icons in the app are custom representations and not official scheme logos.
The user undertakes to provide truthful information during registration. An account can be created with email and password, Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
The password must be kept secret. Each user is responsible for activities carried out via their account.
It is prohibited to: create fake locations; publish content that is offensive, racist, discriminatory or pornographic; use the app for purposes other than the exchange of empty containers (e.g. spam, advertising).
Users undertake to respect applicable laws and the rights of third parties (e.g. house rules, prohibitions on entering private property) when meeting to hand over refundable bottles.
The core functionality of the app is based on location-based services. The user is aware that access to the device's location is necessary in order to use the "radar" function.
Details on the processing of location data are set out in the privacy policy.
The user can delete their account at any time in the app settings.
The operator may block users or terminate the contract without notice if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions, if there is a suspicion of misuse or if the app is discontinued.
In the event of a block, there is no claim to restoration of data.
The operator is liable only for damages that are due to intent or gross negligence on the part of the operator. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
The operator assumes no liability for content created by users (e.g. photos of bottles, chat messages, location markers).
The operator is not involved in the actual handover of bottles and is not liable for damages, conflicts, accidents or criminal acts arising in connection with physical meetings between users. Users act at their own risk.
Data Sharing in Chat: The operator assumes no responsibility or liability if a user voluntarily shares their personal data, phone number, or other sensitive information with other users via the in-app chat.
By uploading content (e.g. a photo of a bottle), the user grants the operator the free, non-exclusive right to use this content within the app and for the app's promotional purposes (e.g. screenshots in the app store).
The operator is entitled to amend these Terms and Conditions. Changes will be communicated to the user by email or within the app. If the user continues to use the app after the changes have come into effect, the new Terms and Conditions are deemed accepted.
Austrian law applies.
The place of performance and jurisdiction – provided the user is not a consumer within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG) – is Vienna.
Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected (severability clause).
